  • Diwali Festival at ISKCON of Houston | Monday, October 24 & Tuesday, October 25 | No Cover – The Greater Heights Hare Krishna organization hosts a two-day Diwali celebration and ceremony that fills the inside of the temple with hundreds of candles and a celebratory feast. 6pm to 8:30pm.
  • Post Malone in Concert at Toyota Center | Tuesday, October 25 – The hip-hop pop star swings by Space City to support the release of his latest, Twelve Carat Toothache. Roddy Rich opens the show. $29.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics at Majestic Metro | Tuesday, October 25 & Wednesday, October 26 – The historic theater near Market Square Park hosts back-to-back nights of classical instrumentals that blend modern favorites like “Thriller,” Franz Schubert, and themes from popular series and movies like The Exorcist, Halloween, Ghostbusters and more. $55 and up. Times vary.
  • Lizzo in Concert at Toyota Center | Wednesday, October 26 – Clutch City welcomes the Grammy and Emmy Award–winner back to her hometown for her Special tour celebrating the release of her fourth studio album. Latto and Saucy Santana will be supporting. $39.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Contemporary Handweavers of Houston Fall Artisan Market at Guild House | Thursday, October 27 to Saturday, October 29 | No Cover – This Spring Branch market features one-of-a-kind, handmade items perfect for decor or gifts, including artisan baskets, handwoven towels and linens, handmade jewelry, naturally-dyed apparel, wall hangings and much more. Thursday 6pm to 9pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
  • | Friday, October 28 & Saturday, October 29 – The ‘Stros embark on their fifth World Series encounter, facing the Phillies with homefield advantage throughout the Series. Tickets start at $500, but you may find better, cheaper or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
  • The Riot Comedy Club presentsByron Bowers at Rudyard’s British Pub | Friday, October 28 & Saturday, October 29 – Recently found in HBO’s Irma Vep and on his brand new FX comedy special, Spiritual N***a, the acclaimed comedian Byron Bowerssteps upstairs in Montrose for his signature set that marries heavy and light for an uproarious night of laughter. Times vary.
  • Dia de los Muertos Celebration at City Place | Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30 – Immerse yourself in all things Day of the Dead at a three-day, four-part celebration headlined by Friday night’s four-course Black Dinner, Saturday’s El Mercado and , and Sunday’s free screening of The Book of Life. Times and prices vary.
  • Fall Festival at Urban Harvest Saturday Farmers Market | Saturday, October 29 | No Cover – Held at the weekly Saturday farmers market, this super-sized Fall Festival adds seasonal activities to more than 100 local vendors, including live music, face painting, fall photo ops, crafts, demos and more. 8am to noon.
  • TEDxHouston presents Countdown at Post Houston | Saturday, October 29 – This TEDx event in Downtown features talks on sustainability and solutions to the climate crisis that threatens our coastal communities. Plus, take in a live jury of an urban design competition and a number of cultural exhibitions. $80. 10:30am to 2:30pm.
  • I Love the Nickel Block Party in Fifth Ward | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – In honor of Elnora White and the Houston historical landmark Louis White Grocery, this block party celebrates Fifth Ward as one of the city’s oldest communities with an afternoon of local vendors, performances that celebrates the neighborhood’s history, live music, kids activities, and more. Costumes are encouraged and candy will be passed out to children. 3pm to 7pm.
  • | Saturday, October 29 | FREE – This third annual event will include a Trick-or-Treat Trail, an outdoor Shop Local Market featuring more than 40 local vendors, live music and dance performances, special deals at M-K-T shops and restaurants,a pumpkin patch photo op, an outdoor screening of the 1996 teen horror fantasy movie The Craft (R) on the lawn, and more.4pm to 9pm.
